Reading Children's Book

My Story

My journey into speech pathology began with a fascination for how children learn to connect with the world around them. Over time, I saw how powerful it can be when a child is given the right support to find their voice, whether that’s saying their first words, joining in play, or feeling brave enough to speak up in class.

As a paediatric speech pathologist, I’ve had the privilege of working with children of different ages, abilities and personalities. I love getting to know each child as an individual and finding the approaches that feel fun, safe and motivating for them.

Working as a mobile speech pathologist in and around Coorparoo means I can meet children where they’re most comfortable, at home, daycare or school. This helps therapy feel natural and part of everyday life, and it also gives me the chance to work closely with families, educators and other important people in a child’s world.

For me, the most rewarding part of this work is seeing the small, meaningful changes over time, a new word, a clearer sound, a successful play interaction, or a child who starts to believe in themselves a little more each session.

Make an enquiry

The journey begins when you reach out via our contact form or email. This is your chance to briefly share your concerns and start the conversation about your child's needs.

Initial phone or video call

We'll schedule a time to discuss your child’s communication, medical, and developmental history. This is also a great space for you to ask questions as we decide on the best next steps together.

First session

This is a gentle, play-based session focused on building rapport. I'll observe how your child communicates naturally while giving you space to ask more questions in a relaxed setting.

Assessment (if appropriate)

If needed, we may complete more formal or informal assessments. This helps us gain a deeper understanding of your child’s unique strengths and specific areas where they need support.

Goal setting and therapy

We’ll collaborate to set meaningful therapy goals. Using play-based therapy tailored to your child’s interests, we’ll work together and share ideas for home practice to ensure progress continues.

Every child is different and the process is flexible. I’ll always explain what to expect at each step, ensuring you and your child feel supported throughout our time together.

What I Can Help With

Speech sounds & articulation

Helping children produce sounds more clearly so they can be understood.

Language development

Supporting the growth of both expressive language (using words and sentences to communicate) and receptive language (understanding what others say), from early vocalisations and babbling through first words and more complex phrases.

Literacy support

Building early reading and spelling skills in a fun, engaging way.

Stuttering (Lidcombe Program trained)

Providing evidence-based support for children who stutter, using the Lidcombe Program.

Why I Love This Work

Every child communicates differently, and I love working alongside families to find what works best for them. There’s nothing better than seeing a child’s confidence grow, session by session.
